THE PLAN:

Phase 1: The Goal-Crusher Phase (Active Now)

Right now, I am booking normal sessions to hit my $7k milestone. This ensures my family and my studio gets taken care of. 

Every booking in this phase gets us closer to the unlocking “Tattoo for tips”.  You can track our progress in real-time with the “Goal Tracker” bar at the top of this page.

Full Day Sessions
11am-7pm ($700)

Best for large-scale custom work or banging out multiple smaller designs. Pro-tip: Split a day session with your partner for only $50 more)
You also get priority booking during phase 2 + 1 golden ticket to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory

Hand-Sized Pieces ($400)

Some call this the Goldilocks size. Big enough to have some fun without breaking the bank

Palm-Sized Pieces ($250)

Perfect for flash filling in gaps or something sweet and simple.

Phase 2: Tattoo For Tips (Goal Reached)

Once the tracker hits $7,000, the rules change. For the remaining days until I leave for my trip on May 13th, I will transition to Tattoos for Tips (*$15 material fee). Here’s how it works: 

  • Material Fee: To ensure I’m not losing money on high-quality needles and ink, I ask for a flat $15 material fee per session—the rest is up to you.

  • Pay What You Can: No hourly, No minimum, after the material fee just pay what you can afford to help me keep the lights on, even if thats $0.

  • Flash Only: To keep things moving and get as many of you in the chair as possible, these sessions will be chosen from my Flash Books. 

  • Limit: in order to get as many people as possible in the chair, appointments will be limited to one “tattoo for tips” per person. 

THE WHY:

Life happens fast. Recently, I hit a bit of a crossroads. I lost my second job and my home decided it was the perfect time for the main waterline to die (I guess that’s what happens to 100 year old houses) Instead of just stressing, I’m putting my trust in myself and my community.

This isn’t a fundraiser as much as it’s a transition to being a full time tattoo artist, a little sooner than expected. 

When I ask people the main barrier between them and getting more tattoos, it’s almost always because life has become so unaffordable and many people are struggling to make ends meet, let alone spend any extra cash on a non-necessity, like art. 

 Well, I think art is a necessity and as long as I can take care of my family, all I want is to make art and for others to be able to enjoy it.  I want to turn a tough personal situation into an opportunity to give back to the people who support my art. Whether you book a full-day session or a tip-only flash piece, you are helping me support my family, and helping others get to enjoy too.

Deposit Agreement

This NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is a guarantee that you will show up on the agreed time and date for your appointment with Gustavo Zelaya. 

  • A deposit is required for each appointment date you wish to reserve. This deposit will be subtracted from the final price of each corresponding appointment.
  • Deposits can be accepted via Venmo or in person cash ONLY.
  • Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. 
  • Should you need to reschedule your appointments) for any reason, please make sure to do so NO LESS THAN 3 DAYS before your set consultation date (or, your soonest appointment date, if no consultation has been set). If you fail to do so, you will forfeit your deposit and be required to make another deposit in order to reschedule.
  • You are allowed up to (1) reschedule. After that your deposit must be forfeited and a new deposit must be placed in order to secure a new appointment date.
  • If you fail to show up to your appointment, you will forfeit your deposit and be required to make another deposit in order to reschedule. You will also be required to re-submit your inquiry during our next booking period. 
  • lf, for any reason (including but not limited to: illness, government mandated closures, personal emergencies, ect), the artist must reschedule your appointment, your deposit will be honored and transferred to a new appointment date without penalty.
  • If, in the event that you may be running late to your scheduled appointment time, notice must be given so the shop can plan accordingly. Your appointment time will be given to you after a deposit has been made and your booking dates confirmed. 
  • This does not supersede the above rescheduling policy and is only applicable in the event you are more than 10 minutes late to your scheduled appointment time.
  • If you are more than 1 hour late to your scheduled appointment time your appointment must be rescheduled and your deposit for that day will be forfeited.
    • In order to schedule a new appointment date a new, separate deposit must be provided.
 

Gustavo reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, regardless of the status of their deposit. By agreeing in the booking request, you have read and agreed to all aforementioned terms, and agree to be present on the date of the consultation and appointment set by the artist and or the artist’s management.
